Target

Tryptophanyl
tRNA synthetase, WARS1

Tryptophanyl tRNA synthetase (WARS1) is an essential protein for cell survival as an enzyme link of tryptophan to the corresponding tRNA during protein synthesis.
It acts as the triggering factor for the induction of an inflammatory response by bindingto the Toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) and Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)-MD2 complexes on macrophages. Leading to the removal of invaded microorganisms by inducing the secretion of cytokines and chemokines.
